Requirements and Deadlines

Admission Requirements

1. Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's or a professional degree.

2. The minimum grade-point-average requirement for admission to the MPH program is 3.0.

3. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required. The GRE exam has been revised, please see the Educational Testing Services (ETS) GRE website for test information and score reporting details: http://www.takethegre.com/new-gre-test. If you took the exam prior to August 1, 2011, the recommended minimum score on the verbal and quantitative portions is a verbal score of 467 and a quantitative score of 591. (The following scores may be substituted for the GRE: LSAT, VAT (or VCAT), MCAT, DAT, GMAT or PCAT.)

4. TOEFL (or IELTS during the 2006-2007 year) scores are required for international students except permanent residents or those who have earned a degree from an accredited institution in the US, Canada (except Quebec), Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom. The minimum recommended score for the paper exam is 600, for the computer exam is 250, and for the internet exam is 100. The minimum recommended IELTS score is 7.0.
