Application Process
Applicants must send several items to the University of Iowa Admissions Office and directly to the Master of Public Health Program. Please review the detailed lists below to ensure that all application materials are submitted.

- Application for Graduate Admission - Applicants may apply online or download a printable application from the University's Admissions Office website. The application fee is $60 for US Citizens and $100 for International applicants.
- Official transcripts from all colleges & universities attended
- Official Score Reports from the GRE, or alternate approved examination scores
- Official TOEFL report for international applicants. Please contact the Office of International
Admissions at intlmail@uiowa.edu (107
Calvin Hall) to determine whether you are required to take the
TOEFL.

- Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Three letters of recommendation with Reference Form.
- Resume or curriculum vitae describing educational and employment history
- Two to three page personal statement. Please address the following questions:
- Students must choose and apply to a subtrack or combined degree program within the MPH program. Which area are you applying to and why?
- How does the required coursework for the area that you are pursuing match up with what you hope to learn and achieve through the program and relate to your long-term career goals?
- In detail, please describe: your exposure to, training in, and/or work experiences within public health.
Additional Application Facts:
- The MPH Program requires the GRE general test or one of the following exams: GMAT, MCAT, PCAT, DAT, or LSAT. All official GRE test scores must be submitted to the Office of Admissions by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).We do not accept photocopies of score reports sent in by the student as a substitute for the official scores. MCAT, PCAT and LSAT scores can be sent to the MPH Program and Graduate Admissions from the UI Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Law.
